There are some stock 75mm ebay ones that work out of the box with this setup
Kenny (linuxman51) on turbobricks ran one with great sucess for eons before getting something bigger to go with the stupid large turbo

I have also done a 75mm one on a car recently that doesn't require much work to fit.

Same IC, as mine no? The only difference is dropping it for the factory piping and recesses in the front pannels.

No. Yours is narrower than that because the radiator is a lot narrower and the oil cooler exists.

The 940 one is 500~mm wide

Its all about the combination of improved airflow thru the unit (or less flow restriction so engine revs through the range quicker), and the ability of the end tanks and the core design to strip heat from the hot compressed air from the turbo.

This units wider core plus the alloy end tanks would for sure achieve a noticeable improvement in performance and gains in efficiency.

Once any core heats up after a few runs, it takes ages and ages to cool down.

Yes, also, plastic end tanks aren't very good if you run more than stock boost when they are 25 years old.

That's *my* car then haha. The intercooler is crazy efficient. I can be driving the car HARD amd when I stop, putting my hand on the hot side of the piping is painful and putting my hand on the cold side feels barely warmer than ambient temperature. Totally stoked with it. Just have to sort out a sheet/panel to cover the gap over the top and I'll be happy as larry. Would recommend/10

Fill the gap with a PS cooler and oil cooler in that position :D

I had one of Alex's intercoolers in your wagon while I had it, made a significant difference & could wind the boost up another 5psi with none of the heat soak issues of the stocker. Great unit, highly recommend!

Did a trial fit in my 240, gotta say fitment is pretty spot on for what I expected
Flow should be pretty good too with such large tubes, end tanks are nice too which should make for a really skookum setup
