Hi all

Up for sale in my D24T turbo diesel driveline, pulled from a 240 D24T, originally from an imported 760 D24T.

This is an incredibly rare piece of kit over here with only 1 other example that I am aware of.

This was sourced for use in my own 240, but plans have taken a different turn.

The engine was rebuilt at some point in the past and was running well when It was still in its previous car.

Will be packaged with a M46 (functional OD) wiring harness (would recommend a cleanup) mounts, driveshafts and a slew of other bits and pieces.

Will require some bits like a dipstick and hoses replaced before put back into service.

Will include a modified intake to allow for an intercooler to be added, original turbo and original intake.

These things sound phenomenal when running right (if you like the sound of a dump truck at full tilt)

Not to hijack your thread, There is/was a slightly ratty 740 getting around Canberra with a D24T conversion. Is that one of the the ones in your count?

Ooo possibly not, this was from a 760 D24T brought in many many moons ago, Id say this power trains original 760 was torn down at least 10 ~ 15 years ago

Did you ever test fit this specific unit to a 240 chassis including the turbo/manifold?

When one of the USA guys did the conversion in the 240 it required "notching" the frame rail for clearance of the turbo

(I only know of the one 240 D24T conversion done by $500mat on t-bricks)...

Also.... any idea if the pump has ever been apart/rebuilt? state of the timing belt?

I sure did have it fitted with the original turbo in the car, the mounts have actually been reworked to make it fit better by the previous owner.

I am unsure on the belts, however with the motor out it would be silly not to do both while it is out.

Mark Richardson actually has some history with this driveline in the past, I cant say for certain on the VE Pump but it did run very well and did not smoke hideously when I was still running before pulling it out.

Hrm.... diesel for the 245l does make some sense....
