Ex850R It can be deceptive too, I've thought front right dust cover but turned out to right rear.
Get car up and spin wheel/s.
Bend the D/C a bit with stick/screwdriver and see if it fixes.
Wish I had a trolley jack, it's a bugga with the supplied jack. haha
When I had the left wheel off I noticed only that the DC had a tiny burred edge to it on start of the rolled edge at the 5 o'clock position. Imperceptible. Because there was no corresponding annular mark on the inner wheel I ignored it as being the issue. How do you even get this imperceptible burr when the wheel is essentially protecting it?
Anyway, with this in mind I checked the right front wheel to see if the same damage existed. Sure enough when I pulled the wheel off there was the tell-tale line around the dust on the rim. I say dust because there is no groove in the rim at all. After checking the rotor over for debris I ran my fingers right around the circumference of the DC. There in the same location the same tiny burr as on the left brake DC. I filed a gnats pubic hair off the DC, literally about 0.2mm off the burr until it was smooth and flush, refitted the wheel and took a test drive. No sound at all. I am surprised the DC is such a snug fit but I guess that is what makes it work properly.
