After information on bracket for B230 engine/power steering pump with air-conditioning pump removed

Hi I have a 1983 244. Only problem is I don't have the power steering pump mount bracket as it was thrown out when the air-conditioning pump was removed and disposed of. The power steering pump to go back on was mounted above the air-conditioning pump on L/H front of motor just near distributor. Is there aftermarket brackets for sale in Australia? Or does anyone have one for sale?

I don't think there are any that are made in Australia, but as Jeremy says @STSmachining make a really nice bracket and have always been a pleasure to deal with ?

I just bought an engine that has a pwr steering only bracket.

looks home made to me but simple enough to replicate

In case anyone's interested ... the STS Machining bracket doesn't suit the earlier-style (Saginaw?) power-steering pump.

I'll attach a picture below of the pump that the bracket DOES NOT work with.

STS recommend using the factory no-AC bracket for installing those.

Now ... does anyone want an STS non-AC bracket for a late 240 PS pump? ?

It should fit. Have you tried using the arms the Saginaw pumps were originally mounted with?

Yes, the whole assembly is a good 2" wider than the new bracket is designed for. The width of the new bracket could be OK without those factory arms, but then the arms for the new bracket don't have holes in the right places.

@Forg I'm interested, my '91 240 has no A/C but the P/S pump is still mounted in the stock location

@jamesinc will keep that in mind, just sorting my options first though ... it may turn out simpler for me to get the late-model PS pump, but then it might not 'cos every vendor sells it without the pulley (plus need to check hose compatibility - although Dave Barton reckons he fitted the late PS pump as a straight-swap so hoses could be OK).
