Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2016 XC70, to replace a 2012 XC90 written off in a Canberra hail storm.
I have just taken the vehicle in for a roadworthy, and unfortunately it failed due to the wheels. Three (all except rear-right) have welding repairs, and the inspector said he therefore couldn't guarantee the safety.
Any thoughts on whether an inspection by a wheel repairer could verify the quality of the welding? Or am I best to just go for three new rims?
Really appreciate any advice anyone may have.
Wheels are the Leda style 235/50 R18 (https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-ph/XC70(08-)/Accessories/Document/VCC-481076/2016)
Cheers!
Josh.
