First job is to engage in International Relations and make sure they are all talking, worried there could be a bit of jealousy happening, Lord Lucas V Dr Bosch and Dr NipponDenso!
If you put on that raincoat and stood next to the car, you’d be in perfect camouflage! ;)
Hi Wayne and car nut, hmmm, forgot about the raincoat, perfect for the weather up this way over the weekend! Yep, bit of a strange mix, 60s V8, carnies, 70s 4 pot earlyi jection, 80s V6 modern electronic injection, pretty much a ‘broad spectrum’, makes keeping track of which tool set to use interesting! ???
Hi there 242GT! You said you had a Suede MotaLita, I seriously have no idea what it is worth, how much do you want for it? If it is still available that is. Ping me on 0488355567. Did you get in touch withAnt and Helen?

Quite the eclectic collection, with absolutely no overlap. Im sure the influence behind each car/marque is an interesting story? How do you get from Jag, to Volvo to Datsun? :)
The 300ZX is cool.
As an aside, I once owned a Datsun (back in those days) 280ZX complete with mechanical fuel injection. It was so thirsty, you could watch the fuel gauge move. The Targa roof was cool. It also had a neat diagnostic test in the gauge cluster.

Good morning OzVolvo! Lovely wet day up here in the WorldFamous Blue Mountains, time to try and sort out the ‘box of bits’ that is the stuff to make Harry, my 1973 144, alive again. Thought I would start with the easy stuff so headed to ‘lights’ box, found the rear tail lights, taped and painted them, the lenses are in great condition andcsme up a treat. Hmmm, the front lenses and backings are in great condition, and the chrome not too bad BUT the rubbers are shot. The side light rubbers have surfaced from Jurassic Park I’m sure, while the body mount rubbers are the horrid side of woeful. Does anyone know if these rubbers are available new anywhere? The ‘box of bits’ comment is real, justsee the interior photo, bit messy but I’ll get there! Happy to get a new clutch throw out arm rubber! Why is there a photo of aDaimler V8? Like all British Cars of that era, LordLucas, Master of the Dark Arts, has decided because it’s raining, he would steal all the electricity to the wipers.........can’t live without
Great to see another 144 come back to life, so much fun to be had
What have those recaros come out of?
Is that an Italvolanti steering wheel? Looks very similar to the one I have in the EV 240...
Hi Carnut! ! No it’s actually a Momo Volvo RSport, it replaced a large dished leather MotaLita which I managed to bend, and funnily enough it will be replaced with a dished black leather MotaLita courtesy of another OzVolvo member. Full circle so to speak. Msrk

JB @Mark_Walton56 - what engine are you running?
Hi Thunder 55, I’ve managed to get everysensor and assorted parts to make my B20E DJet work properly, back up is a couple of we’ll sorted Dellortos or the pair of 1 3/4 SUs but it’s a balanced and ported 40k engine with a mild Waggot 30/70 cam which worked well when the DJet was less sorted than it will be shortly. Would dearly love to have a Volvo 16 valve Twin Cam with the Dellortos but aiming for an ‘almost’ original 144

Now that I have Molly, my donated Molnar hoist, successfully serviced and installed in my garage at home, it’s time for a Harry, my 1973 144 GL, to be placed where he most likely will stay for the foreseeable future, Molly has had a bit of a makeover with a repaint in original ‘Chev Orange’, and a few period stickers, it will be nice being able to get to the often neglected underside without lying on a garagecrerper with lead light for company! Will look wicked with the UltraLites,
Very nice...having a hoist is fantastic...
