I've got the motor back in, the hoses from Pirtek look like they will do the job without fowling the exhaust or manifold. With the benefit of hindsight I would have been more careful with the original oil feed line and reused it (it was bent out of shape as I removed it and I could seem to get it right again. The hose I had made up is high pressure and able to withstand high temperatures but will melt if it comes into contact with very hot surfaces such as the manifold. It loops up and over the down pipe to the turbo, higher than the original line. I am hoping this is alright as I assume that the oil feed line is under pressure anyway. I'll post photos when I can but for some reason I cant transfer them from my iPhone at the moment.
In preparation for putting the gearbox back in I removed the rubber boot, clutch fork and throw out bearing. The boot needs replacing but the fork looks to be in very good condition. I have a new bearing from the clutch kit I bought. I am confused though that on my set up the rod that pushes the clutch fork does not seem to have any form of retainer behind the fork, it just pokes through. On the diagrams I have seen there is some form of retainer as well as a return spring. Have I lost something or is this the set up on a hydraulic clutch set up? It looks to me like the clutch pin holds the fork to the pivot ball, the actuator rod pushes it when the clutch is engaged and then when released pushes the clutch fork back.
I'd appreciate any information about the correct way to put this back together or links to diagrams. Thanks in advance.
