You're correct Mark. There's supposed to be a phenolic spacer washer to isolate the injector holder...IIRC there's one on top and bottom where the bolt holds it to the head. Of course there is also a large rubber O-ring concentric to the injector between the holder and the head. Not sure off the top of my head whether the phenolic washers are still available new. Could try George Minassian. I'll have a quick look online for part number and get back if I can find anything.
Volvo B20E inlet manifold throttle butterfly spindle seals
FYI the spacer washer part number is 962658. Pretty sure you'll need 8 in total. They're $2USD each from GCP, also available at Skandix, probably other sources. If you need other bits place a larger order from GCP or Skandix, or if all you need is the washers I'd bet George Minassian has them.
and here's a pic

Hi Mark, who did the polishing job on the inlet manifold, Can you recall what the cost was?
Hi Paddock@Massey165, hmmm, I did, cost, 4 abrasive wheels, 6 sheets 600 - 1200 grit, MANY finger nails LOL, it was quite easy actually, those red nylon abrasive bluffing wheels that take varnish off wood do a brilliant job on alloy, the rest was detail, parts I could I did on a buff wheel, and three coats clear.
Hi there Carnot, once again thank you for that information, and for the photo, will try George, so 8 would be for where the cast injector holder sits into the head, and the other 4 being smaller for the bolts between the cast holder and head?
Phenolic spacer was her, only you Carnut

Hi Mark, the seals look like this..
I still haven't been able to get to Melbourne due to restrictions, but there are several d jet distributors there when I can. One will hopefully have a working casual. It is this part from a retard distributor? This is in the 73 in my driveway.

I still have your other bits.
Mark_Walton56Hi there Carnot, once again thank you for that information, and for the photo, will try George, so 8 would be for where the cast injector holder sits into the head, and the other 4 being smaller for the bolts between the cast holder and head?
Hope this clarifies. Sorry for poor pic. All I could find on short notice. Each injector holder has 2 phenolic washers (#38A). The washers are on the bolt holding the injector holder to the head. One washer above holder, and one below. There also appears to be a lock washer (#37) or other on the bolt. The O-ring (#38) sits between the holder and the head.

I have them in one of my gasket buckets, left over from a gasket set. Send me your address and I'll post them to you.
Hi Ian, thank you, it is really appreciated, 25 Frazer Road,SPRINGWOOD NSW 2777
Hi Carnut, that diagram really helps, and Ian can send me some he has as spares, would not have thought you would have needed the lock washer and one above and one below the bolt, will now source the O ring, mine had none ?no washers, no O ring, hmmmmm
Hi there 144-1971, as always, I’m very appreciative of your advice and ongoing engagement, I bit the bullet and have a 123 dizzie on order, it’s a 64th birthday pressie to myself, Harry’s build is going to take a bit of time so will happily wait for however long the current crazieness lasts, your parts, including the vacuum retard mechanism (yes, that part from your photo, by the way like the green colour you did the alternator in) will all be cherished when we get moving again, in the meantime, I’ll keep plugging away doing ‘trialfits’ of parts I have finished. Hope you and yours are all ok ??
What size is the O ring Mark, I've probably got 4/5 spare you can have.
Hi there 252GT ? I’m trying to find that out, will get back to you, really appreciated, would have thought that a ‘normal’ rubber O ring would not last and so guessing it would be made of something like the the phenolic washers?
Yes, that's a thought heat, fuel resistant would be reqiured. I've just got normal O ring kits with different sizes and diameters.
