240Joe Today is the first time in 11 years one of my 240s has left me strandard, and it turns out I suck at changing a crank position sensor beside the road! Now that it's been towed home I'll try a different approach tomorrow, maybe from underneath.
240Joe So after changing the CPS from underneath the car today (the only way I could fit my hand in the gap) it still didn't have any spark. Even though it was used, the chances of a second CPS being faulty are low so I looked for something else. I went on a hunt and found a spare ignition ECU in the shed and gave it a go. Then BAM, she was alive again! While I was thinking about spark she got a better coil, cleaned the dist cap & rotor and new plugs. Prrrrrrr
