This is my 89 240 bought from my brother in Tas back in 2010. It was bought as my workhorse and again I tried not to care about it being a bit rough but I really can’t help myself! I haven’t done too much to it really, mainly maintenance and a few cosmetic things.
Here it is in Tas when I picked it up.

I painted, taped and replaced all trim with black pieces, put clear side indicators on, the kings lowering springs in the front from the silver 240 and put thicker sways on.

The overdrive was playing up as it does on most 240s, so I modified the solenoid.

When I take the kayak out I just throw it in the back, I love how much space there is!

My mate made a new aerial for me, it’s a work of art but it doesn’t work so I have another one on the D pillar.

Last week I put on a spoiler that I made up a while ago, it’s the bottom of a 940 spoiler cut and screwed to a 240 one. There is slight scraping when entering/exiting driveways but it is a useable height. I’m still not sure about it though, it might be a bit too snow plough-ish. Maybe there is just too much black? Thoughts?

I have another spoiler combo I’d like to try soon, combining a renault laguna spoiler lip with a 240 one. I’ll let you know when I get around to it.
