Yes, I believe so if it is the genuine windscreen. I guess the only issue would be if the previous installer put too much urethane in and the rubber seal is stuck to the urethane, but IIRC it sorta looks like this sketch. The red seal strip has a small bulb on the rubber extrusion, and this is pressed into a corresponding hollow in the black aluminium extrusion that’s bonded to the glass (blue). The whole thing is held in by a bead of urethane sealant (green). This crude section is what you’d see if you looked at the top of the windscreen at the centre of the car, roughly...I don’t what to try removing the rubber on my 93 as it’s a fairly new windscreen, but somebody who has nothing to lose could try it. Might be easy to tear if the rubber gets stuck in the groove. Would be nice if somebody here is wrecking a late 240 with a bad original windscreen and could look into it for us! Also need to make sure the rubber seal (part number 3540053) is still available. GCP says it is out of stock and I think you’d find the dealers saying it’s a Genuine Classic part or no longer available. IPD says “available to order”. Skandix says available to back-order (awaiting stock), US dealers are showing it available (for example Tasca)...
