Oh the original color is dark gray pearl with 172 k on the clock automatic

Where the rear facing vents are was the air flow going over the amp ? What was I like for leg room for a passenger or just don't sit where the amp is ? I was looking and thinking this earlier but didn't place the amp to have a look ..

Looking at this picture I could alter the out let to extend it to go over the amp...

I just deleted (can easily be put back in) the rear right passengers vent in mine to put in the amp. I rarely have passengers in the rear and almost never use heating anyway.

The amps were under the seat they were small ish ALPINE PDX. they didn't stick out from under the seat and I guess there was some airflow from the vents I just used the holes for the vents as a good way to hide the cables and an easy spot for the amps. I ran the power cables through the spark grommet on the passenger side firewall grommet and earthed to the seat rail bolt.

The Alpine PDX ranges are quite compact i have a PDX M12 monoblock 1200w and a PDX F4 100w×4 . There old now so there are probably smaller and better out there.

There sizes are Dimensions

Width: 257.0 mm (10-1/8″)Height: 50.8 mm (2″)Depth: 192.0 mm (7-9/16″)Weight: 2.87 kg and 3.03kg for M12.

These fitted under the seats not perfectly but quite good.

My original intention was a PDX but got talked out of it by the guys at the local car hifi shop saying they aren't what they used to be . They had a pile of Alpine gear to go back as they've failed . I ended up with a Zapco 5 channel . Apparently it's Bluetooth as well

Not sure yet , had to pop out and do some measure ups , everyone wants cashies atm . Bloody working on a sunday ? . I'm trying to get away from double glazing but I'm booked out for the coming 3 weekends now ?

I got well and truly sidetracked with getting the matrix done . Turned out it got replaced around 2013

As you may be able to see the sound deadening has already been cut around the bulkhead . Anyway it's all changed with new hoses

Did have a blond moment and put the wrong ends on the inlet and outlet lines , many many words were had to myself lol.

Now I know a couple of years ago when I had the 18t and Japanifold fitted I gave the garage a thermostat to change along with a temperature sensor ( volvo) . I've a new one so I eventually got the housing off to find nope wasn't done

Least it's getting done now hey ? .

In-between I watched Roberts video on the PNP switch , may attack soon

So pretty much in pieces at the moment . Hopefully back to the inside soon and get that back together ?

It sucks when you're struggling for time and outsource something you could do yourself and the party you send it out to does a poor job or doesnt do what they said they would.

The thermostat on a P80 is more of a PITA than it should be due to the fuel rail fittings. I did mine at the same time as the PCV kit because I had the rail off anyway. Hilariously, the thermostat that came out looked nearly new.

Steveo when I did my hoes to the heater core I cut the ferrules off on the original hoses vertical with the red lines i drew and took the whole fitting out and I think it had barbs on the pipe and its longer for the hose clamps to attach to and hold on too as well.

You didn't have to cut the end off like you did just a FYI.

Out of all the P80 I've had iirc two cars had seized cap screws on the housing and I broke one housing cover on one. I replaced with S/S alen head cap screws and copper coat antiseize.

Yeah a little annoying especially when I gave them the parts

The two screws holding the cap on were extremely tight as well , very close to rounding one off .

Nickel coated screws iirc , going into aluminium with the heat and coolant it's recipe for STUCK.

Anti-seize is a must.

They are 6mm or 8mm thread iirc?

Yey Focals

The fronts are 6 1/2 components slate fibre and look a nice bit of kit , I've got brackets to convert to the new size. I've left the rears standard size of 5 .25 . The rears are actually heavier than the fronts .

So the carpets got a damn good wash today and are nicely drying in the sun

With a day off today the plan was to wire it all in today but somehow got sidetracked with gardening lol . Oh well another day then but I've got the next 2 weekends booked for work , will see if I can get some done in the evenings.

On another note the boss is being very nice atm , I can't figure him out . He randomly bought me that dewalt pressure washer for some reason. Bloody random ?
