I put my maf on the downwards section mate no need to cut the surround open more it's still fine ?

Where the filter meets to maf though...

Ahh , cut a section out of the snorkel ?

Just move the whole lot further down the intake pipework, see mine is halfway down

Makes total sense mate but with me having that heat shroud triangle thing the cut out for the filter is original diameter where the original maf pokes through and joins the filter. Even if I put the 3" maf half way down the snorkel I've got to cut the shroud to 3" to connect the filter to the end of the snorkel .

You guyz really need to get the damn battery into the boot!

A stainless cover for the filter sounds good but staino grabs heat like no tomorrow , a bit of carbon fibre cloth kit made into the same shape will do wonders. Ive got a big roll and a small kit for a bicycle frame repair i keep forgetting to do , too bloody cold n wet to ride is my excuse.....

Love the FOCAL speaker upgrade , man , i have Jm Lab / Focal home speakers and they are absolutely brilliant!

One thing i did with my ill fated V70R build was use double the underfoam/sound matting that was stsd in the car as i had extras , but i also put down sound deadning like dynamat too , the carpet still fitted ok in back.

A bigger battery capacity and or terminals for the power to amp etc may be in order?

Love seeing you lot doing stuffs , im right out of it as i dont have the space and motivation will never happen!

@AshDVS yes I've not forgotten about the tool for the delta mate , I'll be needing that soon if ok ?. The brackets are on the way also for the rear disc conversion. I'll be needing discs as well soon front and rear as have the brackets for 336 fronts as well .

Edit , wish I knew about Youther before, clearly I don't ask enough questions on here as I don't really like bothering people, one of my downfalls.

@Ex850R battery in the boot totally makes sense, the xc has it in the boot . The Focals should be nice sounding . I spent a good couple of hours in the shop talking to them with the initial intention of ALL Alpine but got swayed by the Focals . Don't worry about the waterfall , I have a nice spare on the shelf ?

I still have a fair bit of that thick (around 20mm ) sound deadening from when I done the boot . Hopefully it's not too thick .

Seems I'm developing a brake fetish . I'm running on the front Alfa Romeo Brembos with 320mm rotors/discs as at the time I couldn't find 336mm brackets. Then they popped up so grabbed them

Always wanting V70R rear brembos I've recently acquired some but as a bonus I got the fronts as well

So now the dilemma , find brackets for the front V70R brenbos and pass on the Afpha set up or pass on the V70R fronts ?

I wouldnt use the the P2 S690R Brembos on the front. There is no decent way of mounting them, due to the ear/lug locations on the calipers, to fit them up without modifying the upright or having a fairly complicated adaptor.

It really makes more sense to use a radial mount caliper like your Alfa one or the Renault Megane RS ones. If you're so inclined, you can always have them refurbed to visually match the 'R' branded Brembo ones in the rear.

Actually on bloody ebay mate . He was selling whole kits ( brackets, Alfa calipers and I think discs ) or just brackets . I'm sure it's the same company/ guy I bought the 320mm brackets from last year but at that moment they'd ran out of the 336mm

Oh , the dash pad , pissed me off a bit and therefore forgot about it . So took it in first week in July as instructed . Hey Steve how you going .... all friendly . Me , I smell a fish here .

Troy then says he can't do my dash pad till September best as he's got to get these 2 Bell Airs out the door .

I need to find a new trimmer in Perth I think

I can't comment personally on getting work done myself but I remember my dad using Eric from Myaree Trimmers to do work on his 67 Mustang Fast back and cars for his business. Eric always had hot rods and the likes of drag cars in his workshop doing work on them from all the times I when there.

I am not sure if he still owns the business but he might be worth a try.

His passion was fords but he did trim on everything.

Marree, just upthe road , worth a look , cheers. I personally thought what he was quoting was a bit pricey at 800 bux but I don't know .

I was actually thinking of texting you seeing if your interested in some brakes . If I can find brackets for these new ones .....
