Bit of Clarion goodness arrived today to go with the nos auto changer and remote

Keep on forgetting about the cooler as well for the gearbox

T3's arrived yesterday, tried one fog light switch last night . Happy days , be glad to get rid of all that green ?

Some pictures I took last night of what I done yesterday ....

I was going for red indicates but they wouldn't work so back to green . The dash pad is truly shot so gave the spare another can full so may fit that today .

Been waiting a couple of years to do this , now it's done I'm happy . Actually not over struck on the gloss black BUT I have a dash pad that sits as it should

Been thinking of taking the car to work and back one day a week for a decent run so friday it got a run 280 k round trip......

Extreme lack of any music for an hour and a half each way kicked my arse into action over the weekend.

Started on Saturday arvo , got all the important wires wired up and left the speaker wires for this morning . The head unit came from the UK refurbished with 3 months warranty so pretty much like new

Good ole Google , copied all the wires and soo easy not like 30 years ago guessing the wires lol .

The autochanger is nos and a perfect match for the HU but not a perfect match for the Volvo's cage so grinded part of the 2 brackets that are bolted to the sides

Then I drilled and used small self drilling screws into the volvo cage making sure it doesn't sit above where the og one sat . Then in the boot ...

Looking pretty natural sat there . All is working as it should even the remote control and I can play tapes and cds at last ?

Best put this lot in a box

Gearbox oil cooler went well , best drain and flush that through again soon ?

I'm investigating cv drive shafts for auto 850Rs, seems that there's thicker drive shafts and heavier duty knuckles from V70's that fit auto 850Rs

So with C19 post has gotten slow around the world , finally some parts arrived this week that I bought back in July and august . I managed to get hold of an 850 cluster surround , happy days I thought .....

Now I didn't realise until this morning it's the bloody wrong colour , but hey it's better than mine ....

I might see if I can get mine repaired and maybe dipped , will see on that . While the dash was out ....

... I done something about the gloss on the pad and painted it matt and looks a damp sight better and also fitted the new boost and af gauges along with the vents to hold them . So bit of a sideways step with the colour match for the dash but definitely going in the right direction ?

How are the gauge vent holders? I followed your link last time to the ebay guy in Hungary.

And what gauges did you use?

I made a ghetto one out of a normal vent and a hole saw, but not installed yet as my gauge is a bit long at the back, would be great with the slim aem gauges tho.

I went with WB gauges and they are nice and slim . The vents seem fine as well . The guy in Hungary had trouble posting from his country and ended up giving them to a mate of his that was going to England . So he could post them from there hence they got here in the end .
