Yeah, I just realised I can remove the globes by unwinding the wires. Appreciate the advice 😊

GreenGL I tried but the OEM base has melted the plastic to secure the wire. So it might be possible but tedious.

You should be able to buy the whole thing ie plug n play , well that's what I done when I changed to blue but looks like you've already sussed out a different approach..

Hey guys , I'm getting a whirring kinda noise I think from the rear left . I'm thinking wheel bearing , any thoughts ? 🤔

When was last time rear brakes and hand brake shoes checked

Hey @rado , as @242GT suggests, I'd check for a sticky/stuck brake shoe first and then maybe wheel bearing. Rear wheel bearings seem to be able to do a HEAP of kms before failing.

Hmmm okay guys , I reckon last time I checked the rear brakes was when I done the change over to the brake conversion. Obviously everything was good back then , will have a look soon 👍

rado It'll be a little more of a pain to adjust the handbrake through the S60R rear rotors too as you're likely doing it through one of the wheel bolt holes.

Time for an short update hey .. well all is good and still using as a daily although only 4 ks to work hmmm .
I've noticed a little , alright, cloud of smoke when giving it a boot full and also noticed oil around the cam cover bolts . It seems some bolts were a little loose so tightened those up and heyho stopped smoking ...
Finally took the bulkhead engine mount off today to change the rubber to poly that I bought from ipd a few years back and yep bought the wrong one

But luckily it seems it has been changed inthe past and nothing wrong with it so polished up the mount and installed the other bracket I painted years ago

Other news Sid had gone to doggy heven , kinda sad every time I see the licence plate now .

I'm thinking of going back to the 850 door handles but I do remember getting pissed off with them not staying black , anyone have a solution other that painting them ?
And maybe a waterfall grille / grill .

Still loving it though, and get some good comments on it from folk so that's nice 👍

rado What you've got here is a urethane bush to replace the original, however, the mount you have is the updated version (larger bracket and less 'air gaps' in the rubber bush).

Urethane at the firewall is terrible and you'll have an increase in NVH and vibration through the steering wheel (if you were able to use it).

The updated style mount will also have a longer service life than the original (even with a urethane bush fitted). The engine top mount is good to have in urethane as it is soft enough and the brace/arm flexes enough to have some compliance and good service life.
Delrin isnt a great material here (but fine a motorsports application) as it is too hard and transmits vibration into the cabin. If you're curious, I'll send you one, fit it, hate it and send it back.

Good to hear from you Steve, have you done the cabin filter install at all with the S/C/V70 plastic filter holder insert , just replaced both my air and cabin filters today

Yep done the cabin filter a few years back , while I had the scuttle panel off yesterday I did take it out as it goes and gave it a good blow through , ( probably need a new on ) it seems OK.

Sooo bit of an update , seems the front suspension needs a good going over so I just went straight to fcp and ordered a kit ...

I've taken those bloody camber bolts out as the front tyres are shot , booked in for 4 new tyres on Saturday and going for Pirelli this time hmmm

So with this in mind got me thinking about taking the Arrgh off the road again until it's sorted and ... oops I did it again 🤪 just happened to come across a car on fb today 8 minutes away

Bit dirty but good enough to use as a daily , nice original condition with an uprated rear swaybar. Happy days.
