M46? I couldn't find anyone interested in rebuilding mine so I bought a used one from Mark at Berry.

Shit has been moving pretty slowly. Finally installed the catch can it was easy and only cost $86 in total. Fuck yoshifab. I put it inline with the flame trap. So far it has solved the oil leak from filler cap. Have driven it to Gold Coast and back a couple of times.

Also I bought a braided line kit for the 16t swap coming up. Pretty excited to get into it and learn something. Should be lots of cursing and refraining from throwing shit.

Also I removed the front and rear head rests and removed the hood lining. C%#t of an idea but had to be done. Orange shit was dropping everywhere

I’m an idiot and snap the fuel cap off at the servo with my hip. I blame the clerk over the loud speaker “hey you don’t have a plate on the front of your car you need to prepay for fuel” after I had already put the pump in..
anyway now that area gets some attention. A red cap to replace the black and a nice silver fuel door

Next up an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and remove the overboost

Maybe fit some pre 90 mudflaps

Hey mate I just did a basic catch can inline with the flame trap. I won’t drill a hole in the cover unless it’s necassary. So far it’s working well. Catch can was 73 heater hose was 10 and the reducer was 3

Heater hose isn't designed for oil exposure and over time it will swell up and weaken.

Places like Pirtek sell black hose that's oil resistant off the roll, more expensive than heater hose but lasts for a long time.

Thanks for the tip mate I rang pirtek they don’t have the size I’m after. I might use silicone instead

Fix one oil leak and another one appears! I’d be more worried if my car didn’t leak oil ?

Hey guys I have a question about exhaust stud removal!!

I’m removing the 12b and replacing it with a kinugawa 16t..

I have 5 new atuds so I need to save atleast 3 studs without damage to threads

Is there a special tool to remove them??
How do you guys do it?

Use two of the original nuts and 2 spanners
tighten the outer nut to the inner nut and then use the spanner to undo the inner nut which will spin the stud out

I have removed the manifold and turbo. Cunt of a job. I bought 3 Volvo oil filters and now I intend to remove the oil filter and install the braided lines. Lots of cleaning to do. Lots of prepping to do with the 16t set up and manifold. I’ll port the manifold and also I have cleaned all the kn filters. I have the option of a pod filter or stock airbox with kn panel. I’ll upload photos soon

What is your opinions on pod filters? I’m unsure if I should stay with stock airbox

The stock box flows pretty well, a pod filter will make the WOOSH pressure bypass coming off boost sound louder though
