Ok, pretty sure the AMM is open circuit. Would that light up the lambda sond dash light?

So I pulled the AMM, cleaned it with AMM spray, and only once it was clean I could see the delicate wire is open. Is it meant to be unbroken?
i.e. It looks similar to the inside of an incandescent light bulb, where the thin wire comes out one side, is then strung between two points, and goes back in on the opposite side. Between the second attachment point and where it enters the body again, it's cut - like the broken filament of an incandescent light bulb would look.
