Interesting concept. Thought about doing this sort of swap many, many years ago when dad's B21A went kaput, and L36 gadgets were still fresh in my memory...
Swaps have been done with L36 engines into 240s. Since the L67 is the same block, it shouldn't be a drama.
IIRC the L67 is a 6 degree engine; the 240 engine bay also accommodated a 90 degree 2.8 litre V6 fitted to it for the 264 / 265 models. So you should have enough access to change plugs, etc.
Also IIRC, the weight of an L67 3800 is about 380 pounds - or just a little more than a B230 redblock which is about 350 pounds.
Engine mounts? You'd have to fabricate your own, because AFAIK nobody does a kit. The Americans have also considered this swap, but their L67s and L36 are nearly all in FWD, east-west configurations, so they don't have the sames access to suitable bellhousings, etc as we do in OZ.
You could likely fit VP II rotors onto the 240 spindles, and then use a custom caliper setup. IIRC, the inner and outer bearings are the same ID and OD as the Volvo ones and I
think the spindles are the same sizes, but it would be wise to double check this. However the standard Volvo PCD is 5x108 (Torana, HK/HT/HG).
If you're going to use a BW / Tremec T5, you're best off using the extension housing from a T5 meant for an EA-EL Ford, so that the shift lever pops out at the correct place in the floor.
If yo use a late model 240 diff with the speed sensor in it, you could probably make up some electronics cheaply so you get the correct signal for the Delco Remy ECM's VSS signal.
Just sayin'.
