@Philia_Bear I think I'll end up with a mixed bag really. Do88 for the intercooler with a bit of elevate for the air intake.

I'm a fan of do88, because all of their products fit perfectly, unlike Elevate.

More than a few P1 owners have had an elevate intake pipe crack due to interference with the AC lines, sucking bits of aluminium through the turbo and into the engine. Also the Elevate silicone is apparently quite thin.

And dont' get me started about how shitty my Elevate DP fitment is...

Where are the fitment issues with the DP?

The flanges were set a few degrees off, so I had to pay a shop to cut and re-weld the flange in order to untwist my exhaust pipes. And the O2 sensor comes out at a really bad angle which makes it the lowest point on the car. Also the whole cat body is set too low and will grind on driveways.

Interesting... almost sounds like to much flex in their jig....

Just purchased the torue limiter removal from limiter from Hilton. No tune as the car really doesn't need it yet.
But Rob says it's not available as a standalone tune, which is disappointing.

So no torque limiter removal from Hilton unless you get a tune to add it too. That's a shame. I suppose that has more to do with price/profit more than anything because I'm sure it could be done.

Sorry but how does the limiter actually work on these? It's just ecu boost limiting in first and second isn't it? No other trickery?

The ECU is targets based. So it's targeting a certain torque figure based on your throttle request. I believe the limit is based on that not on boost, but the boost is lower in the first few gears as a side effect.

Quick update, Rob being the absolute legend he is has done me a solid.
I'm planning to eventually get a stage tune from Hilton down the line, so he's decided to do just the limiter removal now, and he can work that into the stage tune whenever I end up getting it.

I've had a lot of email contact with Rob by this point I can happily say he's one of the most helpful blokes i've had the pleasure of doing business with. Big ups.

Will let you all know how the limiter removal goes.
EDIT: If my Dice ever turns up. It's a week overdue so no big ups for Auspost lol

That's awesome, yep I'd love to know how this all goes the process and if your DICE does the job. I just got to get some hardware and then the tune.

So I've got the limiter removed as of Saturday.
Only really had one proper drive to feel it out so far but you can definitely feel the difference even on an otherwise stock car. Pulls way harder in 2nd gear from down low and at the top end.

Throttle is sharper and there's no longer that jump in pulling power from 2nd to 3rd.
Liking it so far. Keen to get an exhaust and intercooler and grab the Stage 2.5 tune from Hilton, cause working with Rob has been great.

Process is super easy. My Dice worked fine and the whole process is very simple.
Just DL the Hilton software onto the laptop, plug the dice into the usb and obd2 port and follow the prompts. Once you do an initial readout of the car, Rob uploads the tune, you go back in to flash it and hey presto.

That's heaps positive news. Makes me really enthusiastic about the Hilton tune and the torque limit removal. The fact Rob has been helpful and the process straight forward is a bonus as well. I got to save for some parts because I just want to go straight to 2.5 lol

@Steadfst I know you've posted a link to the dice you bought somewhere but could you possibly post it again here? Since I know it worked lol hey think I passed you again last week near industrial drive

Not sure if it's the best out there but I know it works for Hilton at least.
Haven't gotten around to installing Vida on the laptop yet, gotta partition the drive and install Windows 7 Pro, but i'll get around to it before i dump the ATF.

Also eyeing up a vibratechnics torque mount, bit cheaper than most but has to ship from the UK. There's also the Elevate mount available in Aus if you pay a bit more.

But yeah, Hilton's been great. Tune's good thus far, just took it for another spin and it's noticable. Easily spins up the 215 front tyres, need more meat haha.

Only do that if you're a glutton for punishment. The easiest method is to download a VM with it installed. There is a mega.nz link on swedespeed if you search for it.

Or you can get a eFocus mount which is a good mount without rattling your eyeballs loose at the traffic lights. I have one for sale on Facebook, I think I've still got it up for $25.

Get the vibratchnics mount forget the elevate one, even though they have slightly changed the design of the elevate it's still flawed.
My vibratchnics mount has lasted twice as long as the elevate did and still looks/feels new.
