Sorry to revive an old thread, but yes have this same issue, and more than likely a bit of a bent bonnet as well.
92 240 sedan with the hinge issue. just thinking out of the box for a sec as getting a new pair of hinges plus postage/freight would be half the value of the car almost, what if the springs were removed from both hinges and either a tie rod used to hold the bonnet up (might be an issue with a heavy steel bonnet) or a set of gas struts attached to the sides of the bonnet ala like a late model commodore (for example only)
just a minor issue that has been bugging me a little as the bonnet doesn't sit flush.
