D: Okay, thanks for.....

What breed of tyres are you using?
165 R 15 not much of a choice.
Unless you fancy Longstone Tyres in the UK for Michelin, or Stuckey in Melbourne.
Both good companies to deal with I might add.
Sorry couldn't help myself. I know where you're at wanting the perfect one. Good luck.

You are welcome to visit my beauty anytime though.
They're hankooks. 165 somethings. Not overly hard to get. All the info on my thread.. look for 'Al's 145 Barn Find' under the rwd section.

You in tas?
Join the 145 club! (Non official). Appears to be a high concentration in tas.

Just need to find one.
Here we go.. had to find out myself..

Hankook K715 165/80r15 $114
145 or 142 would be lovely. So too would be an early 144 sedan.
Or a 242 non GT, or a mint early 245 or 245L....
ha, I knew I'd go full circle to the 245L again.

MarkC in Perth has an interesting 142, I'll have more info tomorrow. I think it might've done more miles in the last 10 years on a truck.

There's a 74 model 142 with a B20B twin Stromberg engine and a 4-speed on eBay right now,
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm//272558748658

I own one that is very similar, but somebody converted mine from being exactly the same spec, to an auto B20A. :(
Thanks, been there for a few days now, it's on the radar. Posted on the thread in RADAR Section.
Truthfully, seeking a better example, in any model I've listed in the thread heading.
Yes, prepared to wait, ready to pay. Not looking for a project.
So far haven't seen an example which is currently registered and driven.
Thanks again, I do appreciate folk looking out.

Cheers,
Richard

Also, call Mark during the day, he isn't an email or return call sort of guy.
Or call Berry's reception and tell em what you want and for Mark to call.
Yes, have done that and spoken to Mark@iceton75, nothing that's original in any of my requirements.
It's a time and patience thing.
Great looking red car, the interior isn't my speed. Call me a turtle.
Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm working with MarkC from Perth WA who made an offer to me. Something may well come of it.
Freight out of WA to Hobart is prohibitive and eye watering expensive.

come on jackafrica toughen up!

Good one Mark, looking forward to free freight to Tassie. What a guy!
Let's get that trucked up, 10 years off the road puppy hummin'.
Thanks for the conference call. Your cobber might've been conservative, and you..... :3

you would hate me by Northam !
That's nearly a day trip by our Tassie standards I'll have you know.

Let's see what the morrow holds in store, and the radiator, and the battery, and the...
You are aware they are 30-40 year old cars, and all need work. What's wrong with the interior on the 244 berry's have? Not your speed? We'd?
Why not fly over to Perth and drive it home? Would make for a nice trip.
