Well after having a closer look at the OBD I seriously doubt that it is ok.........there is no port for the ignition system but there is a port for the Power Seats!!!!!!! Why is that......?????????????? I think somebody has messed with it......
Is there any way to confirm which cable goes to which port in the OBD???
herman
I tried it now with two other ECU. One was from a T5 Automatic and it did not show the ECU Memory failure and i could clear the codes in OBD A with that ECU and then I tried another ECU same as the one which is originally in my manual T5. It showed the ECU Memory failure again but it showed no codes now in Port 7 (Combined Instrument - Trip Computer) anymore. But what they all showed was 314 and that means there is no signal from the Camshaft positioning sensor. But would a damaged Camshaft sensor mean there would be no sparks...so the ignition coil does not get any power??

Cam angle sensor could definitely cause your problem.
Just to be clear you should have constant power at the positive side of the coil. Im not sure you've tested the coil correctly with the way you describe using the volt meter accross the two unplugged terminals.
You can use a test light to check if the positive terminal of the coil has power with the ign on.
If you put the test light on the negative side of the coil you should be able to see it pulse when you get someone to crank the engine
If there is no pulse then the coil cannot fire the spark plugs
herman
Ah ok....and how exactly you have to test the ignition coil. Where do I have to connect the test light to the coil?? What is the negative side? Is it also possible to do that with a volt meter??
herman
well I checked my camshaft sensor......I dont know if it the only error but that one is f........ I measured it and compared it with my 850 N/A and they are the same sensors. Does anybody has a new one?? How much would it be including shipping to WA?? Cheers boys.....for your effort and time!!!!! I mean it!!!!!

Order from Rockauto, IPD, PFS , FCP Euro or such, most used ones would be near death anyway.
Berry's may have in stock, SMG Parts in Melbourne may as well.

Hi Guys!!
Just to let you know. My issues with starting the engine when it was hot....it was the Cam Positioning sensor...no sparks.......received a new one.....fires up when cold, when hot, runs nice.
Thanks for your help.......oh no more error codes.......changed also the ECU and deleted all old codes....
