Not yet Ecu and engine harness are in but that's about it so far, it's only been off the road since nov, and im getting all the fabrication stuff done first,

Still have the rear suspension to sort
Brakes
Plumb up the radiator
Exhaust
Front suspension
Fuel lines and pump / filter
Sump

So yeah no point in Working on wiring until we have everything that supports the motor finished.

Pump is variable speed to maintain pressure which is controlled by the ECU using the fuel pressure sensor on the rail
He does not need a return

45L is a small tank.. but if tuned right... with the low weight... it could have >600K range at cruise

This involves different gear ratios and the 26spline input shaft.
That's the main reason for not refering to the T5 as a 6cyl eb falcon box.

Danilos early reference to input shaft length is only in comparison to the other T5s I have.
They are 6cyl and V8 commodore and neither of these have a remotely suitable input shaft length for the adaptor plate or extension housing length for the engine/chassis combo.

Thanks for sharing your info on what you guys have done with your clutch setup though.
It's no doubt the best value for money option

Gforce dog box would be so cool! What is the plan for the car (if I missed it I'm sorry)? Street/race car or just fast street car?

Dog shift on a street car. Kill me now. That's one thing that would frustrate me. SC gearset on syncro that's where my t5 is headed when I kill it

Not if it's basically only driven hard. IN my case though with twin webers... Yeah, 450kms is possible I guess if I lean the shit out of everything. For this car, I'd imagine it will see full throttle a lot. Well I hope it would if it gets a racing gearbox...

The general idea behind the car is to have a vintage Volvo with 4 gears for hard acceleration and a .60 overdrive for fuel efficiency and a modern motor so I can drive it hard but still use it for longer trips and as a daily driver and of course for the 5 cyl note. Yes 45l is a rather small tank but with a free flowing exhaust/ intake and a tune these motors can actually get really good range on them if you stay off the pedal a little also there's nothing wrong with filling up more often!

Had a little time off but back into it now,
Started the cold air intake. I don't have a sheet metal bender but two lengths of square tube some flat bar, two g clamps and a mallet worked pretty good!

This design hides the maf and wiring to keep the engine bay tidy Will be using the vent under the windscreen for cold air supply, will finish it and post photos tomorrow.

I keep seeing parts of the head under the nice cam cover and thinking... he should pull it and polish it and paint it

intake is looking very cool, location will take nice advantage of the elbow cast into the turbo intake...

Edit... turbo needs to be polished as well :-)

Nice. If I understand correctly, that space was originally used for the blower motor? Are you installing something smaller inside the cabin, or just going without?

Yep, there isn't any room inside for it, imo it seems silly as there is no source elsewhere but its also not a requirment on a pre 69' car.

Don't worry I'm planning on cleaning up the engine and painting it!

Yeah the plan is to run the intake pipe along the side of the cam cover and into the turbo, somewhat mimicking the location of the plenum to give the engine bay some more symmetry:)

Correct but as its too good of an opertunity to utilize the cold air I decided to ditch the original blower in favor of one of these.
