Just bring a small centre punch with you, and you pop the little locking pin out (catching it with your other hand) then just pull the clip out.
Can I suggest holding a lump of bluetack behind and pushing the pin into that... I removed several from a car to save as spares, and though I was being super-careful I still managed to lose a couple in the grass. (Depends on the type of grass you have of course. Doing it on concrete is better.) ;-p
Also,
@GT_Girl... you might like to consider a download of the Vadis torrent, installed on a spare computer (so you can turn the date back to the same day every time before running it, so it never 'expires'). Not sure what operating system it uses, either XP or Win7 I guess - but others here would know. (The one I used ran on XP, but that computer got a virus. So I haven't reinstalled this 'new' torrent yet.)
In other words, install a torrent program, then cut & paste this line of garble into a browser URL field, and hit ENTER on the keyboard:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:917D0B22A1B754A936046D4BD4F5D919DDBC179A
As well as some other things, it allows you to see an exploded view of every part on your car along with part numbers.
