julianvreug Yeah i have RACV premium only time i have used it is for towing, everything else i have fixed myself, i havent actually used it on the volvo yet broken down a few times, but always manage to get the volvo going again, even with a blown turbo. :) I have a few spare parts behind the spare tyre. Including a MAF I dont think they will tow from my home to the otherside of Melbourne, they will only tow me to my local RACV approved repairer, which had done all the timing belt etc, or if in the country up to 100km to closest repairer. The only thing that stumped me about the T4 was the regulator, but all makes sense now.
julianvreug PS this is the volvo New PCV breather and pipes, pluss bypassed the coolant to intake manifold, makes it easier to take of and who needs a heated manifold in australia anyways? New turbo
julianvreug Ok cool will keep it in mind morgan if cant get it going.. Both coils are brand new along with leads and new connections did give similar issue with stalling while driving. But the difference was the engine will bunny hop then cut out. Fuel issue it will just die when changing gears or engine will cut out altogether and will get a rich error. Also smell fuel when it does it. I gather it dumps a heap of fuel in the intake through the vacuum tube.
julianvreug Thought i would post update, Few weeks ago i thought i would put the old MAF back in, fixed the stalling and over fueling issues. The turbo bolts where also lose on the manifold, gasket is stuffed, and just waiting on a new one, I assume this is the reason why its idling so rough. Can i just check with others as i cant remember, when you open your fuel cap is there tank pressure? I never have any pressure released everytime i fill up so gather there may be a leak or issue in the EVAP system, or the cap needs replacing.
julianvreug Just to also check since the turbo exhaust elbow looks like it needs to be replaced and they are discontinued i have my eye on a full exhaust system, but has anyone fitted a downpipe from another model? i see there is angled and non angled outputs, s40 being a non angled, S70 also has a non angled down pipe. I dont want to be stuck with only a downpipe that has a welded on cat, EG a OBX downpipe.

julianvreug Thought i would update, Back pressure was fuel cap. I replaced it with a Trident one and that made it worse. Put the old back with lubricated seal and it works better, sometimes it doesn't seal properly, so will have to get a genuine volvo fuel cap. Stalling hasnt happened for quite a long time now. Several things contributed to it. New MAF put the old Siemens back on. Ignition coil wirering, Replaced wth new plugs, along with new coils and leads. Put stainless steel bolts in to secure as found they kept coming lose. The turbo also kept coming lose from both the manifold and down pipe, this caused a TOO Rich error and often would go into limp mode. I ended up putting ProFlow manifold bolts in, these are stainless steel with lock nuts. Hasnt come lose since, but i notice the exhaust seems to get hot as makes a crakling cooling down sound even after a short drive so i guess its time to look for a new cat etc. Still wondering if a s60 down pipe with straight flange could be made to fit. You can get these cheap compared to a S40 T4 downpipe which is over a grand, Then i can just bolt up a BSR or JT system.
Spac Any exhaust shop should have no issues in making/fitting a custom down pipe. There's tons of room there.
