deleted_user_160 didnt say they dont exist. just that they narrow very quick. and prices increase dramatically. the v720 im getting for the 142 in 205/55/16 are nearly $30each more expensive than a 235/45/17 of the same tyre. which is almost the most common tyre size in australia. not to mention the world of opportunities that open up with the 235/45/17 size. with almost every tyre brand including nasty no name brands.
Garth I've been chasing alloys for the 142 will these things take a 15/7 rim ? Found some I likeopinions please will this work on a 68 140 ?
Garth Avoiding volvo alloys they're not great but needing something to get common tyres on my shitbox 142
Garth http://www.threepiecewheels.com.au/custom-made-wheels.php. tracked where the operation. Ended up so parts can be had
Garth Folk saying 18,s etc but period wheels were s mall and chunky I'm the old school type hate what looks like bmx wheels on a car though there's many early Holdens running 20,s I think they look tragic
deleted_user_160 Chris Smith squeezed 18's under his 142, and to my surprise didn't look odd. Wheel style choice makes a difference
Garth Just got back from a wheel specialist he can do minilites new for $180 each explains why you see them on everything he's seeing if globes can be had
Vee_Que Minilites are overdone, I love the 16s on my 122, much bigger looks odd, same on a 140, bigger than 17" is only good if the car will never be driven on the roads and is very low. Otherwise, they don't suit.
Garth Damn thought so will wait till the tyre mob search globes got 164 brakes on mine its unlikely a 14 will fit. Plus the stupid low gearing already
