I almost bought a 280ce last year love them and a lot of car for not much $$ also had a 230 sedan for a couple of years , very smooth but didn't like corners !

This one has some trick bits to go around corners, quickly. The yellow ones are some custom King springs and the other, well they're stock.

As local car crusher if you can take pix , trailer car there and do some arty photography , make for a great pix!

Today I went and viewed a couple, yes 2x, 242GT's at a local enthusiasts holding shed. Unfortunately neither met my prerequisites and are not officially on the market. It was a pleasure to view the cars to see what options they came with and what one should be prepared for.
My research now leads me to ask, what should price should I assume a prime example be realalisticly be worth?
I have an idea in my head, but I want to hear it from you guys.

Someone once said, it's not where you start, it's where you finish.

Not having a crystal ball it's hard to say where a good 242GT will appreciate to.

This time around I'm not looking for a full on project more along the lines of a turn key car.

All that said I think $10K-15K is a possibility.

I totally agree James, hence my mission to find a good one. I buy with a R.O.I. in mind.

The ones not full of rust (most of them) anyways

5-20k is seriously the range your going to be looking at
Non rusty ones are rare and you will find the non rusty ones are all modded which will bring up cost for good reasons

My performance mechanic recommends them along with Haltech. The EMS product is good value for money, well featured and PC tunable.

Not a 242 but a 264 top of the line in its day, not to sure we're you are in the SW, bit might be worth further enquiries.
