They broke behind 760Ts. And I'm unsure of what zf box is available for transaxle that week handle the torque. Basically it's a compromise because it's fwd. If it was a longitudinal engine, yes it would not have sense now given the strength of modern zfs. But 90s zfs are weaker than a a30-40.
