My experience with Rock Auto - not so good unfortunately. However I can't blame them entirely.
Early December 2022 I ordered a pair of Bendix dual piston front brake calipers for my Mum's 740. I checked several times to make sure they were the correct ones with a single brake hose inlet, 2 bleed nipples for ABS. They arrived a couple of days before Christmas. The front left was correct but the front right was incorrect. It had 2 hose inlets which I believe is meant for cars without ABS (for the triangle split brake system) instead of just one needed for this car with ABS.
I contacted Rock Auto and they were very apologetic and arranged for a refund. They also assured me that the part number I ordered was correct but their supplier had put the wrong part in the box and to re-order the part if I still needed it. So after receiving the refund I re-ordered the part which arrived yesterday and.....it was wrong again. Same incorrect part as before.
Contacted them again and now they tell me they can't supply the correct part. They've issued another refund without requiring me to send the incorrect part back. So I now have two front right calipers that are useless to me. I thought about getting a threaded bung and using it to block one of the hose inlets but I'm concerned about it being a potential leak point. I would prefer to have the correct caliper.
So if anyone needs a front right Bendix dual piston brake caliper with 2 hose inlets hit me up - I've got 2 of them.
