Shieeeet to Summit ship direct to Aus!? Omg this changes EVERYTHING
Yep Summit ships to AU and the shipping rates come up directly on the web site before you check out so no need to even ring them or email to get the shipping quote.
Holy shit. RIP credit card.

+1 for Northside Auto Electrics and AC in Gladesville. David is a really nice guy, he fabricated a few hoses same-day for Amy based on some old hoses and samples I brought him, and walked me through the steps to return an AC system of "unknown status" (i.e. may or may not have correct oil type/qty) to working order. He's at 286 Victoria Road, but you have to enter round the back on Gerard Lane. There's a driveway you can park in.

+1 for Burlen Ltd / SU Carb Co of the UK.

Ordered some gaskets and needle & seat kits for the pair of troublesome SU petrol gurgle-jugs on the 144. Postage was quite reasonable and all items were very well packaged. They also stock a wide range of parts for Stromberg gurgle-jugs too.
+1 to volvo parts webstore

I killed a crow with my grille and they wanted 970$ AUD to replace my r-design XC60 grille. I managed to get it from their website for approximately 380$ AUD with shipping.

I also bought some sealant strips that somehow when they arrived in Australia they had nothing in them - not sure whose fault but after sending an email and a quick chat they sent another set of items that arrived promptly and with no mucking about.

Would recommend, and they have specials on often that drastically cut the price - the one I took advantage of was the end of year sale.

Highly recommend

+1 to @VolvoDeger and the boys at Masons down Seaford way.

Just got back to Bendigo after having them overhaul the front end on my XC90. Professional and courteous and very helpful. Got it all done in a day and even put some new tyres on while they were at it!

Gave me a loan car for the day. The whole experience was very easy going.

It now drives so much better and more like a sport should! and the 90 got a clean bill of health for a car it's age.

Cheers guys!

Anyone looking for a temp sender for the Volvo 240 ambient air temp gauge, apparently VDO part #323-801-008-002D is compatible.
Positive for Advance Auto Parts. They've been great!

Are FCP discount codes still a thing? I remember there being a thread on here about 2 years ago with codes that I successfully used.

Also, +1 for Sandwood Trading in Melbourne.
    I haven't received any in a while

    Hello All,

I recently bought a brand new centre console for my 240 from ebay. Seller: swedish*auto*lamps*for*less

It matches perfectly and fits in perfectly too. It cost me $192 but we'll worth it as my previous one had just fell apart.

Just a heads up if anyone was considering buying one.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello All,

I recently bought floor mats for my Volvo 240 wagon. I got them from https://www.all-car-carpets.com.au/

They arrived but were cut wrong, i had to send them a template and they cut new ones to shape. They are great quality and the shade of blue matches the rest of my interior.

Hopefully they saved the templates for future customers :)

    Thanks,
    Martin

    FCP and FedEx.
    What a nightmare.

FCP have a different value on the AWB to the actual invoice (significantly higher on the AWB)
Havent supplied an invoice with the goods.

FedEx have been asking me to supply an invoice, and a letter stating why the AWB value doesnt match the invoice value.
FedEx were also asking for a declaration of no asbestos.

And to making things even better, I'm having it delivered to work, we have an account with FedEx, so they (FedEx) started email our logistics asking for this info.

I feel your pain. I went through something similar with FCP but I think it was UPS not FedEx. In the end I had to pay about $90 AUD for each box (shipment from FCP was split into 2 separate boxes!) to get it out of UPS, and I had to doctor a separate invoice for each box as FCP said they couldn’t create a separate invoice for each box (although they did send me a detailed breakdown of what parts were in each box...)
