Philia_Bear http://www.stayz.com.au/accommodation/nsw/north-coast/forster/67434 $1400 for 2 nights 4 bedrooms Assume just 8 of us and its still under $200 per person for the weekend Add in some others (on a blow up mattress or something) in the lounge room and price drops further BTW I found the fucker so I get the master suite
jamesinc This place is more appropriate IMO http://www.stayz.com.au/accommodation/nsw/north-coast/forster/149635 And it has two ensuited bedrooms, so we can just avoid that whole scenario :) Also it's cheaper And has twice as many beds And one room is a bunk room with bunk + trundle

Slowbrick If the weather is nice we will probably just camp. That or stay in one of the caravan parks up there. They are pretty nice.
Slowbrick We might stay somewhere close to the lake so we can play with the tinny. Its light enough to put on the roof of the 245. Probably squeeze in some snorkelling too.
jamesinc For attendees: first preference motel is Best Western Lakesway. Good open car park and ideal location. We don't have a group rate this year though :(
seggle02 I'm in, I'm paid, Volvo going for its longest trip yet. So far since I've had it its been as far north as Wellington, as far south as Yass, as far west as Forbes, and as far east as....Bathurst. I might even try to follow the early 80s route to get there using my period correct road maps that will be on display lol.

seggle02 jamesinc;76078 wrote It's amazing how indirect the route is when you're coming from inland. lol yes as the crow flies isn't that far. Using the 1983-84 route it is 7:30, using current route it's 6:20.

jamesinc Raebird;78270 wroteHow many do you have coming so far @jamesinc ? 18 cars / 29 people. Both prior years there was a big surge of last-minute registrations, so it's hard to say for sure how many we'll get.
deleted_user_160 im pulling out of the national meet. combination of the $ to repair the 142 from fire and storage damage + saving for a house. has left kristen and i cutitng back on things like this. not to mention the 740 is having internment fueling/ignition issues. so getting it 15hours up to northern NSW is a serous stretch.
jamesinc That sucks Jay, but it's understandable. The size of this country is kind of frustrating when trying to organise events like this.
