Ouch, I haven't seen one crack in that spot before, I wonder f it got epic-hot at some stage.

Only thing I can think of is when the Welch plug went, but it wasn't run hot for long because as soon as the temp gauge went up I stopped it. If you look at it, the crack actually goes through the valve seat - that's super impressive!
My theory is that it's been like that for a time before the Welch plug and has been super heating that cylinder. When I first got it it ran rough on starts but was fine once it was warm.
I put it down to not having been run for a while, but now I'm thinking it was like that for a while.

Sorry for the slackness. Vehicles have been withdrawn for sale while I do some more work on getting them ready.
Some of my angst is resolved but I still need to move a couple of these, namely the 264 and the GT.
I will keep people updated in other threads, but for now I will close this one.
