jamesinc I too have been wanting one of these for my S40 but haven't found one, and they're NLA from Volvo. I was contemplating tapping the hole in the manifold to NPT and installing a standard push-disconnect air fitting.
9klin jamesinc I have thought of using a 1/2 inch push-in fitting but it would be 0.2mm out as it requires a 12.5mm which I haven't been able to find. At the moment I have just removed the previous collet, wrapped silicon tape around the pipe then jammed it in. It seems to hold firmly enough and the vacuum helps keep it in place, but would rather a more robust solution. What has been your stop gap solution?
jamesinc 9klin mine seems to somehow just not pop out, I think it's surviving purely because the vac line is moulded nylon and holds itself in place fairly well. If I pull on it, it pops out with no resistance.
9klin There is a ridiculously priced one on eBay that would cost me AU $273.89. The tapping option you mentioned could work with one of these (might also require a reducing bush): https://www.autospecialists.co.uk/product/airtec-modified-inlet-plenum-12-5mm-metal-push-fit-pipe-upgrade/ A reducing bush to something the the exact same size with the small thin barb as the original would be ideal.
jamesinc @9klin I haven't been game to try and pull mine out for fear that will be the end of it. Is it just an interference fit? Or is there an o-ring that's not pictured above?
