Anthony Interesting they got a tiny blurb from Volvo engineer in there. Our XC40 when new (has LED headlights, but not the matrix type) would get 50%+ of drivers flashing us even though we had the low beams on. I asked the dealer to check it and of course "we compared to the same model and they look the same". You'd think they would be able to properly align headlights. Anyway, I ended up using the adjusters to aim them down quite a bit. Now we only occasionally get people flashing at us…I'm still not confident they're adjusted correctly. 2nd dealer visit they said "we can't adjust them any lower" but I don't think they did anything. Hmmm.
The matrix/pixel LED headlights are the way to go as they use the forward facing camera to individually turn off pixels that would be aimed at oncoming cars. This means oncoming cars are "shaded" from the headlights, but the roadside is still fully illuminated. Great innovation IMHO.
