940 lsd

Hi guys, I've been considering a lsd to meet my planned turbo build and I came across this mob.

Any feedback or advise would be helpful.

Its a 1994, 940t. Used for street. Just want to insure better traction. Thanks

Had one in the green BMW.
Not a complete waste of time, but nowhere near as good as a proper LSD.

It was looked after carefully (good LSD oil, changed regularly) but the ability to limit the slip diminished pretty quickly.

I would buy one of the proper LSDs particularly considering they are so cheap for the Dana30.

Being a Dana 30, does that mean the Torsen-type centres (I'm thinking of Detroit TrueTrac) fit the 940 diff as well?

These plate things seem to be about half the price of a Torsen diff from bakaxel.se.

Reckon I'd go with the Torsen - more expensive, but IMHO the peace of mind is worth it.

10K SEK at present works out to be about $1650 AUD.

1030 (as in 140 / earlier 240) and 1031 / 1041 (later 240 / 700 / 900) are slightly different.
