DaveinThaGong I have a friend who is wanting to move from his driveway a one owner (father then Son) 1970's vintage Volvo 144. It has been off the road for the last 3 years with some repairs required. The Bad: Non original engine, swapped some time in the last 10 years to a single carb B20. Almost 440k on the clock. Rust on the 2 front doors (pictured) Obvious external cosmetic issues includes minor rust bubbles Flat Battery (wont hold charge) Holes in boot floor pan Crack in dash Tears drivers in seat cloth Driver door card is damaged broken front indicator & Dent above The Good Been in the same family for over 50 years Recently replace Radiator regular service records for the life of the car. It's a factory manual. Engine runs and drives (battery and stale fuel issues currently) Rest of the interior including he headlining is in very good condition for the age of the car. Stored undercover for it entire life. Honest, survivor car that needs a new chapter. If bringing this back to life and returning it to the road sounds like your jam then get in touch with the owner Michael on 02 42291176 Car is located in Mt Keira NSW 2500. Looking for Offers ~$3500. I'm only posting this for a friend so please use the above contact for further info as I have nothing more to offer interms of details on the vehicle.
Major Ledfoot JFTR, that a year model 1974 car with a B20A engine. There appears to be some very serious rust issues visible in the doors, boot, and above the firewall. Prospective buyers ought to consider a very thorough underbody inspection.
DaveinThaGong 100% AGree with you ML, if anyone is interested in this project you need to lay eyes on it, Or have a trusted intermediary look for you. To me it just seems to be too good an example to scrap.
