V50 - 2007 Petrol, Is engine stuffed?

Last year I fitted a Continental timing belt kit and water pump, seals etc etc. New drive shafts also fitted.
Car was serviced 4 weeks ago. Yesterday the a/c belt broke and it interfered with the timing belt, throwing the timing out. The engine stopped. Question: Does this mean the valves have impacted the pistons?
Is it worth considering a replacement engine?

Car also has 4 new Khumo tyres. 136,000km on the clock. Car is in Sydney. Anyone interested in buying the car?

@truthinbeer there's a good chance the pistons and valves have contacted. You could put a timing belt on, time the engine, and then do a compression test, but it would be faster/easier to pull the spark plugs and use a borescope to look at the pistons for signs of having been impacted by the valves.

Mechanic will have a borescope, or you can get a cheap one off Amazon for about $50.

Was the auxiliary drive belt not replaced at the same time as the cam belt?
