SOLD! (I don't seem to be able to edit the title.)

Hi all,

looking to sell my 360 - ideally to one of you lovely people who'd like to get it registered and moving again.

This was purchased 1997, has been undriven since ~2008, sitting under my carport since 2012. I wanted to get it rego'd on club plates once it became old enough but never got the tuits, then recently made the rash promise to sell it as a condition of getting a new EV (sadly not an EX30).

Why $1500? Maybe think of it as selling a set of Simmons F15 15x6.5 (purchased around 2001 - when Tony Simmons still made them) plus the 360GLT they were made for - of course I'd prefer to sell together.

Wheel Offset I assumed was 40mm like factory though I tried to measure and calculate it and came out with 33mm (in-case there's any older Corolla or other drivers of 4x100 wheels reading this..).

So I let the rego lapse when I found a partner with a bit newer car - it was being driven only once every couple of weeks. It drove OK then, except on the coldest mornings it ran rough for a minute. Apart from needing a new battery before I could attempt starting it, I just haven't been brave enough to.

I don't want to say it's in poor condition but it's definitely a project. Some of the good and bad:

  • When I bought the wheels, Pedders did reconditioning and custom valving on the shocks to firm them up. I loved the improvement (but YMMV).
  • Not too long before stopping driving it, I got a new clutch from D&H Automotive in Mitchell - called something else back then? They were a popular Volvo mechanics at the time. I recall that the clutch has plenty of bite but some shudder, which I never got around to taking back to them.
  • Perishable parts have been busy doing what they do. The clearcoat on the paint up top has gone, the hatch lid looks like it's started to rust a little - hopefully a small job still.
  • Still got the parcel shelf. Not the under engine shield though.
  • Has some period-correct late-90s, 20-something-year-old owner bits like Pioneer 6-stacker, amp and Kicker sub.
  • The tyres are 195/50r15 Goodyear Eagle Venturas with most of their tread left. They look good but not sure what age has done to them.

I can’t comment on the desirability of those wheels, but effme a set to suit a 360GLT would have to be hella rare!

soo far away

To buy an EV? Check what drugs you've been taking please.

So are there really only 150 360's registered world wide, as per https://ozvolvo.org/d/10961-10961 this thread from @Laurie ? I thought there were a zillion of them in the UK alone due to being the most popular hatch there for years, though I admit after choosing one of a couple to buy I rarely saw another.

Here are some more pics for those asking - for some reason I have a 1986 owner's manual even the plate on the firewall says 87..
