Hey Brainstrust
I’ve been needing to take my Volvo 740 to a mechanic for a while now for an O2 sensor. And a couple of other bits and bob
With Lupica Motor Repairs gone. Any recommendations for a decent Volvo mechanic?
Thanks

Volvo Cars Penrith (Annlyn Motors) are really good for service I have found. Maybe give them a call and see if they can help? They have helped with my 20 year old Volvo so pretty sure they can assist with yours. Good luck.
I can help with parts and service
Castle Hill area
Thanks guys !
Stu from Voltek automotive is a good choice too

They refused to do a transmission oil change on our S80 V8. 'Doesn't need it - Sealed For Life', they said.

And Stu did the job. Check it out - see how off-colour the transmission fluid is.
Major Ledfoot Yes, Volvo penrith are great to work with, and good for some repairs, but just like any other dealership they refuse to do work that isn't standard procedure issued by Volvo.
The reason half these cars have a limited trans lifespan (200k klms ish) is because volvo stupidly decided to claim the trans is "sealed for life", they would probs be lasting double that or maybe more if trans fluid was standard maintainenece, same as things like the haldex unit and rear diff fluid. i think even the angle gear has its own fluid.
Rory 'Sealed For Life' is a cautionary tale which parents need to tell their children so that they grow up knowing never to let sales and marketing dickheads to determine engineering policy.
If you do the transmission flush properly with a machine, the result is even better. I've seen Oil flushed by removing the cooler lines after 20,000km and it is darker than oil flushed with a machine after 100,000km.
Every single mechanic at every workshop is different in their own way. You cannot compare them
