Johnny50 Hi there. New here. I have a 86 244 that’s having fuel issues from time to time. It will run great one day and struggle and random times randomly. I replaced the injectors as I found one not functioning correctly. My m3 mechanic suggested the ecu maybe faulty. The wiring in the car is pretty bad with insulation degrading. Any suggestions. I’m going to find the wiring schematic somewhere and start tracing back my next question. Are the 86 244s parts changeable with the 240s and 244s from 86 to I believe 92?
ramrod You identified the issue. Biodegradable engine wiring harness (100%) is the cause. In fact I would not consider looking at anything else before replacing it. I manufacture new ones. You shall be free of all engine electrical concerns once done
