Hey guys so life is heading in a different direction and it's time to slow things down I'm looking to get into a 4wd so will be moving my turbo wagon on .
Now I'm mainly looking for swaps at this point purely because I don't have another car ATM so if I sell the wagon I would need to scramble to find a 4wd basically the same day ,but let's just see how we go maybe I can borrow a mates car or something if a genuine buyer pops up .
1993 240GLE Wagon
230xxxks on body apparently like 120xx on the motor .
Driveline :
- B230+T
- 16t turbo
- 90+ manifold
- Aftermarket exhaust
- New cbv
- Ipd turbo cam
- Adjustable ipd cam gear
- New waterpump
- New leads and plugs
- New battery
- New alloy radiator
- Yoshi fab block vent and big catch can system.
- Rebuilt aw71 transmission.
Body :
Body presents well but no clear coat and poor paint on roof and top of driver's guard the rest of the paint is very nice , few little dings here and there but the car does present well .
Nice lights ,taillights no cracks in windscreens etc etc .
Has foglights with volvo covers
Headlight covers
Suspension and brakes :
- New front shocks
- New strut tops
- Lowered springs front and rear
- Koni adjustable rear shocks
- Poly torque rod bushes
- Dvs adjustable panhard bar
- New rubber brake lines
Interior:
- Double din stereo with bysnett 3d printed facia
- Front and rear 4" speakers
- Wideband gauge
- Boost gauge
- Voltmeter
- Knocksense with warning light
- Boss kit and aftermarket wheel
- Dash mat and crack free dash!!!
Neat interior however I have started changing to a black interior so it's all mismatched.
Nice black door cards , door handles still need painting .
Seats are still tan but under sheepskins
Most the rear cargo area is black .
The car drives fantastic, its currently only running 8psi and pulls very nice .
I'm averaging 10L/100 hwy ks
Exhaust has a nice note but is too quite in my opinion haha
Registered till July 2025 annnnd its registered as turbo !!!!!!
Cons:
- Roof and top of driver's guard poor paint
- Needs trailing arm bushes done (like every bloody 240 ) its on my list I just need time and I really don't want too haha
- Has an exhaust mani leak .. also on the list gaskets are here waiting for me to do it
- Sump gasket leak , have gasket but lazy
- Front passenger central locking just stopped haven't looked at it yet .
*Missing fuse cover .
*missing bottom cubby where stereo went
SRS light is on but only because of the aftermarket steering wheel it will come with the original airbag wheel with clocks spring etc .
I'm pricing it around 7k I paid 5k a few months back and have already sunk more money and time into it then I want to think about haha .
All in all this is a great 240 and a fantastic base all the hard work and legalities are done you can get in and daily it straight away while still having a few little things to finish up without it being a whole project .
