Hi everyone,
I am rebuilding much of the front end and wanted opinions. The front shocks need replacing but should I also replace the springs as well since i'll have the strut assembly apart?
2004 S40 T5 manual. The suspension was shot and we ended up cracking the sump. My son and I are going to treat as a project and try to do as much as we can ourselves.
The plan is:
New Lower control arms, new sump (obviously) and new strut assemblies.
I already have a a strut mount kit (bought of a member here). Should I just go all the way and fully rebuild the whole strut assembly?
Also, any recommendation for a safe spring compressor appreciated.
