245 Turn Indicators

I've had the dash out of my 1983 245 to replace the wiper mechanism. Dash back in now but no turn indicators. What have I broken and where do I find it? The 4 way flashers now don't work either. All fuses are good.

treoleileagh well AFAIK there are no connectors between the indicator stalk and the hazard relay, but my first thought would be to check from the hazard switch.

Look up TP30316-1 on ozvolvo.org/archive and see page 96 for the system wiring diagrams.

My bad. I forgot to connect the flasher switch on the console!!! O Once I put that in, everything worked.

BTW under the dash RHS I found another relay with 3 pin connector R/W, Bk/W, W wires. It hasn't been connected.

When I connect the connector to the relay it clicks just like the flasher relay. Do you know what it is?

That could be the transmission overdrive gear relay

when connected it clicks rapidly

That relay RHS below the dash turns out to be a clicker for "key left in the ignition".

I wonder who thought that would be a good idea?
