XC60 My2011 T6 Forward Sensing Module

I need a new Forward Sensing Module (P/N 31318979) for my XC60. These are no longer available from Volvo, looking for suggestions on where I can source one of these modules. Thanks for your help.

Ouch! Volvo Parts Webstore doesn't have them, and it's practically a new car (by Volvo standards).

Skandix doesn't even recognise the part number.
GCP does, but doesn't have them either.

You may be able to get a used one from Berry's in Melbourne, but the unit will probably need to be re-coded with your car's VIN before it will work, because CANbus. The big hassle is to find someone to re-code a used one. About 7 years ago, Rontons in Adelaide managed to find somebody to re-code a used climate module for our 2010 S80 V8 - yeah, different module, but AFAIK all of the 57 damned modules in these things have this type of one-car-only CANbus coding.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but CANbus is the work of the devil.

Look I was told the same CANbus sob story from Volvo when I had a module failure on the S80 T6 ( and thats NOT the only one)

I picked up a used module from Berry M G for about $170 delivered!! Compare that to the$ 3k the dealer wanted. I installed it myself and haven't had an issue. Check the link above. I would try buying a second hand module with the exact same part number. I would be surprised if it didn't work!!
