TDI Tuning box swapping

Hey, so I have a T6 2008 V70 and I've bought a second-hand TDI box that came out of a 3.0 T6 2013 S60. As the S60 has the slightly more powerful engine, could there be any potential problems putting the box in my V70?

I personally don't see it and can't imagine the box is so highly tuned/programmed that it will but still, figured I'd ask in case anyone has experience.

I moved my old TDI Tuning box from a V70 3.0 to my V60 3.0.

Thanks for the response. I had a spare 20 mins the other day and tried to install it but getting to that lower intercooler boost connector seems impossible without at least removing the airbox and headlamp. Did you have any issues getting to it?

Issues?! OMG that’s an understatement.

Yeah I bought the fancy prong tool to remove the clip and my big hands just couldn’t get to the lower intercooler plug. I think I broke the plastic clips down there but it got there.

It took two hours and I was nearly in tears haha

IpsoFacto maybe I'll wait till I have a day off and don't need the car before I try again then. You reckon it was worth the hassle?

Unfortunately when it's on the dyno, you can't just change it from Level 7 to 0 (as it takes a few kilometres for the TDI Box to change the ECU)

I'm due to go back on the dyno soon to see what the mods have done

Plenty. Everything is listed on my profile mate. My biggest problem is the stage 3 Hilton tune…well finalising it from Rob Hilton himself. I am waiting for him to respond with tune updates.

With what I have done, I should have 500hp at the wheels on the dyno

EDIT: My mods were all listed on the Rides area, but the change in OzVolvo format means you can't see.

IpsoFacto that's an expensive list of gear in the current market. I put a bit into my 850 when I had it but I just don't think I could justify the same cost into my V70. Just trying to get a decent downpipe upgrade or the do88 intercooler was easily $3k+ when I priced it early last year.

I spoke to a couple of people on here that said they had parts available but it never actually eventuated. Either they didn't have them in the end or didn't want to part with them when it came time. That's why I figured the TDI box might just give me a little bit extra till I can make a plan what I actually want to do.
