There’s such a thing as a good import; you just have to be really careful, as a lot (I’d say “most”) of imports from Japan are made out of multiple vehicles &/or have had some major damage poorly repaired & most-likely have the odo wound back.

I as lucky to be at the end of 1st ownership trade ins and the story was the husband bought the wife the fast Volvo so he could drive it weekends .

Found one 2nd owner who made it in IT at its beginning out of Tassie and got every car he ever dreamed of. $36? Thousand iirc , 160Kk, good luck to new owner, such fun!

I have a 2000 V70R AWD wagon for sale if your interested. Does need a bit of work, but solid car. It had a mild flash tune and now goes like a scalded cat. Has a large folder of receipts. Also comes with a set of Canisto wheels.

I've had the chance of having 3 Yellow T-5R wagons to choose from this week. Ranging from 22k - 30k depending on condition.

The 850R model seems to be a touch cheaper but doesn't have the rarity of the T-5R.

I've made an offer on one so we'll see whether it all plays out.

Ps. The wagon at just jap is very rough and wasn't worth considering.

Thanks for the update Morch - interesting feedback. I’m curious as to what the actual sale prices are lately - values have certainly come down from the post Covid peak.

I’m restoring a phase 3 V70R at the moment - based on my experience go & buy the best example that you can 😆

Morning. I'm not even sure whether I'm paying the right price or not but I offered 26k for a really clean one that needs no work.

For me it's worth paying extra to have that 'hassle free' experience. I've saved some 240s and the time factor can be difficult.

I was only gauging pricing from what others were asking and also didn't want to sound disrespectful when making an offer.

Have you got a thread for the V70R? 😊

morch_66479 Getting a rough one to a perfect standard will easy cost that much, & not taking into account time & effort. If an example is perfect body wise, interior wise & everything is up to date mechanically then I don’t think it’s a massive offer personally 🤷🏻

I do have a thread on it here. It’s had a lot of money spent on it over the years. Has all books, service history etc. Quite a rare car, apparently only 450 or so made. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please.

Managed to get my hands on 'The Ultimate Wagon'
Voltek has completed a lot of work on this and gave it the tick of approval. I've been enjoying tinkering with it and making some more improvements and may start a thread on it if anyone was interested.
