Hi guys - a mate's girlfriend's 2002 S60 is acting up. They read the codes (see below) and are asking whether anyone has any advice on what might be wrong. Hard to diagnose from a few codes, and odd that he says "also started affecting the head lights and the brake system"…hmm…apparently it's been giving some emissions system warnings for a while now, but this is new info. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can pass on to me (I'll pass on to the owner). I suggested they might need to take it into a workshop for proper diagnosis…also asked whether the car is still drivable…awaiting response.
Hi Greg,
As discussed on the phone a couple of weeks ago, my girlfriend Dianne has a 2002 Volvo S60 with various computer error codes.
It started off with the car going randomly into “limp mode”.
A couple of days ago it also started affecting the head lights and the brake system.
This morning we hooked up the diagnostics tool and read the current error codes in the ECU 1 (#12), which are:
P1651 Data bus powertrain missing messages
P0223 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch ‘B’ Circuit High
P0123 Throttle / Pedal Position Sensor / Switch ‘A’ Circuit High
P1610 Interactive reprogramming code-replace module (used with P1615/17/19/20)
P0133 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1
Can you help out by asking your fellow Volvo Club members if they understand what is going on and, hopefully, how to resolve the issues?
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Koos
