Could have given you an ef sway.......
Double sways on the back has been done.
They can take out brake lines if the wrong angle too.
a month later
Mine did the same thing too, fixed it with a longer bolt and washers

Late update on the volvo, have got a heap of things done a fair while ago but no time to pop an update on here!

- Exhaust has been patched up and rewelded to fix multiple leaks
- Brand new auto trans cooler lines built from trans to radiator (high pressure thick gates hoses with fittings to the lexus box then to the volvo rad)
- Both rocker cover gaskets done
- Sway bar is all sorted, needed the little lip on the chassis massaged a bit as was creaking, car is heaps better on the road now though, moved the brake lines further out of the way as well with a little bracket
- Further modification to the volvo shifter now allows manual select of 1st Gear :) and drilled a rubber boot over the whole assembly for added legit look (the plastic casing doesn't fit anymore as the whole assembly was reversed)

Haven't found any virgos yet so got some 15x7 ROH alloys cheap the other day and span some tyres onto them - they fit OK and will do until i find some virgos, I think I need larger wheel nuts with a better taper and the front inside runs awfully close to the strut tube... Any way some pics

The new alloys bolted on

Here's the little brackets i cut and drilled to space the brake lines further out of the way on mine, really pretty similar to what you've done anyway @Ghettobird (cheers for the assist)

Aside from the ol v8 volvo Pop's M46 in his sedan had a leaky overdrive unit and was engaging all the time, the parts were steep to rebuild it and we're hoping to put an RB25 in it before long, so we picked up a cheap m45 off @carnut1100 with all the required bits, it was a bit rusty so needed a clean out and the shifter cage was bent but was modified back to straight (enough) then pulled the B230e out, changed the clutch, trans, tailshaft and cleaned some stuff and shes back together again.

Last weekend we entered my house mates stock 240 in a motorkhana and had an absolute ball, we were not very competitive but we weren't the slowest and it was our first time out, lots of skids = lots of grins

Hardest part was finding somewhere to mount the extinguisher (had to be bolted to the car not screwed for regs) we ended up cutting up some galv bracket and drilling it to bolt up to the plate on the LHS firewall using some tube cut down to evenly space it, worked a treat and saved drilling holes in the car.

Pretty soon we're looking at starting the turbo conversion on the 1UZ, just need to figure out exactly what and how we will do it.. considering using stock silvia T25 turbos as I have one already spare but they might run out of puff in the revs.. will keep updates coming atleast when we start bolting the lungs on!

Have to catch up mate, I'll drop my sedan off and you can just sneaky 1uz it for me haha
For sure @Jaz pop around any time, let me know! 1UZ conversion can be organised :) I still have your subaru radiator sitting in my parts shed from years ago.... hahaha!!

I've been slack as on updating this, but for the last few months the poor old long roof has sat about with little use (it's still running/driving awesomely mind you) while we built a lot of other cars in the shed - multiple S13 modifications, mates imports to fix etc etc. Most recently i spent some time putting a late model VVTi 1UZ in my partners daily IS200 (Thread here http://www.lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17042 should anyone want to look)

BUTTT, good news is i finally started throwing some cash at the volv again, I recently picked up a cheap Garret 3582r BB turbo off a late model XR6 turbo, so Ben and I have commenced planning for the installation, currently thinking run a pipe behind the heads to join the manifolds together, then modify the front of the Passenger side manifold to hold a t3 flange, install turbo nearby the battery tray, dump adapter to run V band dump/front pipe back to existing exhaust. Weld bung into sump for oil drain, tee oil pressure switch for line, simple intercooler setup, 5-6PSI boost with all stock electronics/fueling for now until we want to turn it up.

Will post up some serious updates once we start in a month or so - need to shop for flanges and piping soon though and get this thing happening.
Look forward to seeing progress on turbo install.

This for sure. Would be keen to see it up close when you get it running.

I'm sure it's going to be pretty ghetto especially up close @GingerNinja haha! But as long as it's functional i'll be happy. I've got most of the bits sorted/lined up in my head but in a bit of a crisis as we want to build the shed at home a little higher and insert a hoist, not sure where to direct funds first... will post up as soon as any updates though!

Well the old girl is off to a new home.. Thankfully to a fellow ozvolvo enthusiast that has been across the build since early on, still a sad realization this morning walking out and not seeing the long roof parked out the front, it's served me well through major house (and shed) renovations over the past few years, carting bulk supplies and rubble, damn reliable and with plenty of laughs (including weighbridge operators at the tip who were just blown away by the amount of weight I had loaded in the thing) she's been a beaut! In fact it had been so long between bonnet pops that the classic 240 hinge issues struck and one seized up horribly hahaha.

Anyway here's hoping the new owner gives it the care I've neglected to provide last few years and continues with the next wave of necessary additions (including a nice big lung bolted on the side i hope) no pressure @GUE555

More than happy to take her off your hands mate, its been a long time coming !
