Identify the chassis number?

Is the chassis number on the VIN plate?

It should be a six digit number, so I’m wondering if it is one of these in the photo, or does it make up part of the VIN number itself?

Then there is the 055537 plate. I wouldn’t have thought this would be the chassis number starting in 0 as mine is a 1990 build. Can anyone tell me what this plate is?

The last 6 digits of the VIN will be the chassis number

I'm not sure about the 6-digit plate, it's maybe some other sequence number for the chassis, but that's just a guess.

jamesinc Thanks James, that makes sense 457014 sounds about right for a 90 model.
