G'day all, long time Volvo admirer here considering swapping out my garbage Honda for a stylish Swedish box. Have been considering a fixer-upper 740 Kombi for a few weeks now, it's essentially my dream-spec excepting one key detail. It's automatic, now I understand many will rave about automatics and discourage a manual swap. I'm not discouraged by the task itself, I'm willing to commit to the funds and work required. However I have done some research and found it exceedingly difficult to find any M46s or M47s for sale in Australia and I haven't even begun to research the remaining parts needed.
Ultimately my question is, should I concede and pass on this opportunity to wait for a factory manual? Does anyone know of where I could source the required parts? Thanks in advance for any contribution.
